Prof. MUDr. Václav Liška, Ph.D
Prof. MUDr. Václav Liška, Ph.D. is a surgical oncologist and biomedical researcher at Biomedical Centre, Charles University in Pilsen, Czech Republic. He leads the Laboratory of Cancer Treatment and Tissue Regeneration at the Biomedical Center and focuses on liver and gastrointestinal cancers, tissue engineering, and translational oncology. A recipient of several national and international awards, he is also a principal investigator in the EU-funded CHAPERON project and actively mentors young physician-scientists.


Assoc. Prof. Jana Horáková, Ph.D.
Assoc. Prof. Jana Horáková, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Liberec, specializing in the development of nanofibrous materials for medical applications. A Fulbright-Masaryk Fellow (2013–2014), her research bridges materials science and biomedicine, focusing on advanced wound dressings and tissue engineering. In 2016, she was awarded the Théophile Legrand International Textile Innovation Award for her contributions to health-oriented textile technologies.
